Robert takes a dynamic role supervising all appraisal management operations, including as a quality control reviewer. Active and current in his profession, Robert has obtained SRA, AI-RRS designations from the Appraisal institute, he also an AQB Certified USPAP instructor, in the field he specializes in the valuation of high-performing and luxury housing.
In addition to his work in the office and in the field, Robert organizes and presents continuing education seminars for real estate professionals, in which he covers current underwriting guidelines, appraisal methods, approaches to value, and thorough explanations of the appraisal process. Robert is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor and has received his certification to teach in Arizona and Texas.
As a Designated member of the Appraisal Institute, Robert is committed to continuing education. He participates in many of the courses and professional seminars from the Appraisal Institute, completing significantly more than the required number or hours to ensure that he is well-informed and current with the ever-evolving real estate field.+ Read More

Rusty Hansen will be joining the AppraisalTek team as the CTO effective Monday, July 20th. Rusty comes to us from Academy Mortgage where he spent 7+ years in various capacities including CIO (twice) and head of Home Office Operations where he worked with the internal Appraisal Desk, many other departments.
Prior to Academy, Rusty worked 14+ years for a national subprime servicer Select Portfolio Servicing in various roles including CIO, EVP Operations, and head of Portfolio Analytics.
He has a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Utah (GO UTES!) and has been happily married for 22 years to his wife Amy. Amy and Rusty have 7 children (5 boys and 2 girls ages 5 - 16) who are all adopted. Their family enjoys mountain biking, basketball, hiking, camping, and karate. As Vice President of Business Operations, Brianna is responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the Client Services Team. She brings extensive experience in employee development, procedural compliance and operations management. Since 2007, she has ensured that our customers receive the reliable and consistent customer service that has become the hallmark of AppraisalTek.
Brianna also is an enthusiastic volunteer with her husband at a local youth soccer club. She enjoys (when weather allows) hiking Arizona’s beautiful local mountain trails and spending time with her family and, with three kids, there is always something to do!+ Read More

Kathryn has over 25 years of experience in the lending industry. She began working for a wholesale lender in 1992. Once she found her niche in the appraisal industry, within 10 years Kathryn opened her own appraisal company which she later merged with AppraisalTek. Kathryn has been a residential real estate appraiser for 20 years and currently is Appraisal Tek’s Vice President of Business Development.
Kathryn continues her involvement in the lending industry by active participating in the Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association (AMLA). She has been a member since 2006 and currently serves as their Convention Chairperson. She also organizes and presents professional seminars for real estate professionals.
Kathryn is married and has one daughter. Outside of work, she and her husband are active in their church, run a homeless ministry and spend time at their cabin in Northern Arizona.+ Read More

George has over 15 years of appraisal experience in both Arizona and California and has a diverse background in field work, forensic analysis and quality control. Having worked on behalf of FNMA for post foreclosure valuation analysis, he has an insight on what is expected “beyond the form” that gives him a unique perspective on how to help other appraisers write better reports. He is an advocate for the appraisal profession currently serving on the board of the Coalition of Arizona Appraisers and has been a guest speaker for various Realtor organizations and at Arizona State University’s appraisal classes.
George has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California-Riverside and is a Candidate for Designation through the Appraisal Institute. He is a volunteer Boy Scout leader, youth soccer and softball coach and loves baseball.+ Read More

Cathy has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and is the Director of People. Cathy is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and National Society of Leadership and Success whose mission is “building leaders who make a better world.” She has a thorough knowledge of State and federal rules and regulations and does an exceptional job creating and implementing a people, culture, and engagement strategy which is aligned with the strategic organization goals of AppraisalTek. Cathy facilitates employee development and training curriculum for AppraisalTek and has exceptional customer service and organizational skills. Cathy has been with the company since 2011.
Prior to joining AppraisalTek, Cathy worked with the State of Arizona in developing and fostering positive relationships with all State Agencies, vendors, and clients.
Cathy is an Arizona native and is married with two children. Outside of work, Cathy’s passion is volunteering with non-profit youth community programs and is currently a member of the AJUSD athletic budget oversight committee and Sponsor Coordinator for the AJUSD football team. Mark is responsible for software development and systems operations working hands on with a team of skilled engineers. He brings over thirty years of technical experience in software development from operating systems level, knowledge engineering, to stateful web applications. His work has been published in books, magazines, and included on network operating system media. He is also dedicated to continual learning and takes pride in the great team he works with - all of his past direct hires have either been offered engineer positions or taken one with Amazon, Google, or Huawei.

Brenda is a 36 year mortgage veteran. She began her career as a Loan Officer in California, moved to Arizona in 1995 to manage a Builder Mortgage Branch for 10 years and spent 12 years in the Mortgage Insurance field. She has an extensive background in all aspects of mortgage lending including but not limited to sales, underwriting and account management. She has a passion for helping people grow their business and support their needs with unparalleled customer service.

Steven Caldwell has most recently been the Appraisal Department Senior Manager and Head Appraiser for a large mortgage lender for the past 11 year and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from the University of Phoenix.
He holds active appraisal certification and has been involved in real estate for the past 20 years. He continues to appraise properties today. He is well-versed in high-risk collateral, allowing lender clients to mitigate risk and to provide credible and accurate real estate appraisal reports for their portfolios. He has been an expert witness and has lead teams of more than 40 people.
Steve has a passion for Real Estate and is always excited about learning and teaching new appraisal concepts. He teaches and trains appraisers, underwriters, loan production staff and Realtors throughout the county on appraisal principles which allows them to better understand appraisal practice. He has an approved appraisal CE course which is approved in multiple states across the country.
Steve has assisted in writing appraisal department policies and procedures as well as being a mediator between Senior Executives, Regional Managers, other production staff, Underwriters and the appraisers with whom we do business.

When she is not working, Sarah really loves to be outdoors and enjoys hiking, hanging out on a lake in her kayak, or taking drives through the mountains. She brings her dog, Boston, with her on all her adventures. She loves to travel and given the opportunity, will pack her bags and hop on a flight to somewhere new. Additionally, she enjoys working with her friends to grow a small screen-printing shop.

Blair started in the appraisal industry in 1992, working at a small appraisal company in Michigan as the office manager. The company grew to one of the largest in Michigan, completing more than 2,000 appraisals per month. In 2001, encouraged by the owner's, I started working to obtain my appraiser's license which I earned in 2003. That same year, I moved to Arizona with my family and started my own company and followed a similar and successful business plan. In 5 short years, Priority Appraisal grew to be one of the most recognized and respected appraisal firms in the Valley. In 2012, I transitioned from the field to work for an Appraisal Management Company (AMC) as a Lead Reviewer and shortly thereafter was promoted to Vendor Manager at Axis Appraisal Management. In 2015, I was recruited to serve as the Chief Appraiser at Equity Solutions USA with the added responsibilities of Compliance and Vendor Management. Interested in learning more about the underwriting side of our business I joined a regional lender as their Chief Appraiser. I enjoy assisting my fellow appraisers and clients in understanding the ongoing changes in our profession, in hopes of building better relationships. In addition, I love attending and participating in appraisal industry conferences as much as possible and am also a member of the National Association of Appraisers, the Appraisal Institute, and the Coalition of Arizona Appraisers.
